Migrating galleries to new site

We are in the process of migrating our WordPress site (https://soviethistory.msu.edu/) from version 4.8 to version 5.4 on a new host.
In our version 4.8 website, we’re using your Photo Gallery version 2.2.48. We see you have a version 5.4-compatible Photo Gallery available, numbered 1.5.55, and that there’s a plugin bundle available for about $100 that includes an import/export feature. However, we’re not sure whether we can export from version 2.2.48 then import to version 5.4. Is there an upgrade path that will get our photo collection from the old 2.2.48 host to the new host on version 1.5.55?”
