To anyone looking to migrate to the new plugin:

I installed this on my site alongside the old Shipping & Tax plugin. Once I installed and linked to my wordpress.com account, when I clicked a previous order to get tracking info for a customer I noticed that all information related to previous shipments was lost (all tracking info from previously purchased labels was gone)

    Upon deactivating, the info returned.

This may not be a big deal for many users and it won’t be a problem for new shops, but if you rely upon having access to the old info for previous orders, you may want to hold off installing this.

    Howdy, @escwebs!

Firstly, thank you for giving the new plugin a spin!

WooCommerce Shipping & Tax has been updated to work in parallel with the new WooCommerce Shipping plugin, allowing you to continue utilizing its tax feature. This is why the old experience appears hidden. Rest assured, no data will be deleted; your history still exists, just hidden (for now).

I’m happy to share that we’ll be releasing an update to WooCommerce Shipping very soon that will enable migration of your shipping labels history from the old Shipping & Tax plugin. This means you’ll be able to continue working with your historical data seamlessly, while also getting to enjoy the updated UI and future improvements to the plugin.

Hope you’ll give it another try after our next release.

    Best regards

Great to hear! Giving these updates a good run through before rolling out to clients is critical to ensure I don’t get “those phone calls” ??

I’ll keep an eye out for the next release.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

Sounds like a solid process, @escwebs!

The migration flow was released with 1.1.0, so you should be able to try it out now!
If you give it a spin, please do share any feedback you might have(!) and/or feature requests ??

    Best regards

    Hi André,

I had a chance to upgrade to 1.1.1 today and give it a good run through and, sure enough, the tracking and previous shipment info migrated over just fine this time. Thanks for the update!

I’ve not had an opportunity to test purchasing a label (yet), but I have played with the ability to create/add multiple Origin addresses. LOVE that feature! Too many times I’ve generated a label only to realize I forgot to update the From address! This will help a ton. ??

    Thanks again,

    Mike

    Hi Mike @escwebs,

We’re thrilled to hear that the upgrade to 1.1.1 went smoothly for you and that your tracking and previous shipment information migrated over without any issues.

It’s also fantastic to hear that you’re enjoying the new feature of being able to create and add multiple Origin addresses. We’re always looking for ways to improve our software and make it more user-friendly, so it’s great to know that this feature is making a positive difference in your experience.

Once you have the chance to test purchasing a label, don’t hesitate to let us know how it goes. Your feedback helps us continue to improve and ensure we’re meeting your needs.

If you have a few minutes, we’d love if you could leave us a review.

    Thank you.

    Not resolved for us.

I just installed the Woo Shipping and all of our previous tracking has disappeared. With the Canada Post strike, I really need that back, ASAP.
