    Hello,

A few of my sites are migrating to a new server.

It’s likely they’ll be switching to PHP-FPM on the new server.

Do I need to be concerned with the setup previously of “Optimize Wordfence Firewall” part where the server is detected and thus may be changing on the new server?

Massive thanks in advance for any insight.

  • Hey @cwarrent,

I don’t think you’ll run into any issues. I’d just optimize the Firewall as you previously have. However, if you do run into any issues, please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Thanks for that!

I know if I installed the plugin fresh it’d likely detect the environment and be fine, just wasn’t sure how the detected and wordpress-waf.php file worked and if there’s issues changing environment (though fairly similar) as the installations are all copied over to a new server. Without the knowledge just being over cautious I think!

    Hey @cwarrent,

There’s no harm in being overly cautious :). Please do let us know if you run into any issues.

    Thanks,
