• Hi folks,

I was working on a test site and made lots of theme edits, as well as creating lots of specific pages/post content. I now have a new domain ready to roll and I’ve installed 3.1 on it, but if I copy / import by DB from the test site it inherits all the test site domain info.

My question is this… is there a safe / easy way to export specific data from my test site DB and import it to my new domain DB (ie specific tables) without buggering up the new domain settings in the new domain DB?

My original test site was in the format https://www.domain.com/testsite
My new domain is in the format https://www.domain.com

So what I’m worried about is the structure differences and whether or not there is an easy way to get the data across without any absolute references to the old structure.. or do I need to recreate every page/post manually again?

Basically I want to recreate all the posts/pages in the new site but not anything else. Can anyone advise please? Thanks.

    Anyone?

I just need to know whether or not I will have to go through the process of creating every post/page again, or hopefully if there is a faster way of doing this.

    pretty please?
