I have a WP installation in a Staging environment and want to migrate this into a new Live WP installation for my website, all within SiteGround but the migration just constantly fails.

I install the plugin, get the Token, start the process and it just gets stuck, now for over 20 minutes, here:
“Website Migration in Progress Transfer started. Creating archives of files…”

After contacting support, they say that migration within SG is a paid service and that the plugin is designed for other hosts, not SG itself…

Really??? Can’t migrate a site within my own hosting account? Extremely Disappointing!

Will the functionality of migrating sites hosted within SG ever be implemented in the plugin?

The plugin is not designed to migrate from Staging to alive site on another account or the same one.

Yes, we offer free migration of one website per account and consecutive migrations are paid but that has nothing to do with the problem here.

Why would you create a staging copy and then use the migrator to make it live? Just push to live the staging copy. I see no use case where you create a staging in one account and then migrate it to another? Why don’t you just make the staging copy on the account you want to use and then simply use the push functionality?
