• Hello. A couple of weeks ago I migrated a site over. It was originally installed and built on the same site only in a webtest directory. Now it is at the root. I have a problem that was resolved by editing the old site directory from the .css. It worked fine. It kept resolving to the webtest url directory.

Now it is back to resolving to the old webtest again after a couple of weeks. I had turned it over to the client and there have been changes made to the site itself.

If I go into WordPress/General I see the WordPress Address (URL)
Site Address (URL) resolving to the webtest again.

How can I fix this without losing all of the changes that the client made since handing over the site?

I went in and changed settings in the database. I cleared my cache several times and it looks like everything changed except for the tabs under “Our Work”>>>”What People Are Saying”. Is that still cached somewhere.

    Thanks so much!

    It is on 2nd page

Are you using any cache plugin if so clear cache

    did you reset your permalinks

Just to add that all custom menus still have the websitetest url. If I change it to match all other links it displays as “I can’t seem to find what you think you’re looking for”.

I did reset. I deleted the old .htaccess (after backing it up), cleared my cache and tried again. I tried making permalinks to default. Then putting them back to posts…

Okay so the status is that all links are changed except for custom menu posts. Also the posts themselves have permalinks that are the old url. Is that something I can change in the database too?
    Thanks!

I am still having a problem where my custom menus for custom posts will not change. I did reset my permalinks. I also tried to go into the database and find instances of old url but didn’t find anything after searching the whole database. How do I know if I’m using any cached plugins?
    Thanks!

It all depends on how those custom menus are set check in Appearance>>>Menus see if they are set from there.

Yes they are setup in there. If I change (for instnce testimonies to be https://www.wesharehope.com/testimonies it will give me an error when going to page. If I also look at custom posts and testimonies it is also set in there but I can’t even change it at all. I only have a couple of issues left with the site then I can turn it back over to the client.
    Thank you!

How is that testimonial page set up as if you using plugin then it should not cause any problem.

I see post_type=testimonials at end of url so may that may be problem

Why would that be a problem? If I change it to https://www.wesharehope.com/testimonies I get error on page. What should it be changed to and if I change it in the menu how do I then change on each custom post. It doesn’t allow me to change it. Keep in mind that this has been fine for a couple of months and now this??
    Thanks!
