    Hello,

I’d like to migrate my webpage developed by Squarespace to WordPress. I managed to install WP on my cPanel using the toolkit. However, I’m not able open the WP admin/login page after installation in order to import the content from Squarespace. When I try to open the admin page, the webpage from Squarespace opens up. I assume this is due to the fact that my domain is still connected to Squarespace.
I’d like to develop my WP website using exported Squarespace data without making the website go offline. Is it possible to export the contents to WP and work on the new website without disconnecting the current webpage on Squarespace? If yes, how am I supposed to that?
All of the online tutorials only show how to export/import the content and not how to develop the new WP site.

    Thanks for your help

1-ask your webhosting vendor if they could help you by assigning a temporary domain name for your site powered by WordPress so you can spend some time to set it up without impacting the SquareSpace site.

2-after the website powered by WordPress is finished and you are ready to stop using SquareSpace, the desired domain name will need to be connected to your webhosting. then, you can use a plugin like Better Search Replace to remove all instances of the temporary domain name and replace with your desired domain name in the database

Thank you ?? I created a subdomain and will work on that until the site is ready.
