• Hi there

I’ve been attempting to migrate my blog from a wordpress.com to www.ads-software.com.

Have managed to successfully switch domain name over and connect to site, however when I try to import via the ‘run importer’ on the wordpress dashboard after I press ‘submit’ it looks as though its working slowly but then I get a page saying
    “405 Not Allowed”.
After trying numerous times another error I get is:
“Sorry, there has been an error.
Failed to write file to disk.”

I have looked to troubleshooting blogs and tried:
    – Refreshing the page even after fail
    – Followed steps with my host (bluehost) to increase the php limits in php.ini file.

My exported files from previous blog are 2mb and 2.6mb

When I go to my NEW site it looks as though some data is carried over. Some posts are in the main directory but the thumbnails are mixed. Also when clicked on these are not actual posts, so links anywhere in the site work.

    My old site:
    https://www.lenslapse.wordpress.com

    New:
    https://www.portsofgold.com

Can anyone out there suggest anything to try next??
    Thanks

You’ll need to contact your hosting provider about this. They’ll be able to identify why your hosting account can’t write files to the disk and the source of the 405 error (which is most likely an overzealous security block).
