    Hi Cory,

I have a incompatibility issue with mySQL 5.6 (localhost) to 5.5 (Hosting). Is there a possibility to control the mySQL version export by duplicator?

    Longversion:
I′ve worked at the homeoffice and installed the new MAMP/OSX Localhost Version. This version is working on php 7.x and mySQL 5.6.35. In agency I had the older MAMP version with php 5.6.31 an mySQL?. The duplicated website can′t installed. Incompatible. It stops at the security login. The browsermessage is weird: forwarding issue…

Fehler: Umleitungsfehler. Die aufgerufene Website leitet die Anfrage so um, dass sie nie beendet werden kann. Dieses Problem kann manchmal auftreten, wenn Cookies deaktiviert oder abgelehnt werden.

Installed the new version. No duplicator issues. The website runs and is finished. Today I migrated it to the hoster. Same problem! Hosting preference: php 7.1 and mySQL 5.5. Proberbly I can′t upgrade the version there…

    Ideas?

    Thanks

PS. I′ve read that maybe it is possible to downgrade per mysqldump. On localhost the info is red and not available:

Mysqldump was not found at its default location or the location provided. Please enter a custom path to a valid location where mysqldump can run. If the problem persist contact your host or server administrator…

    Hey @schmecktes,

Thanks for the feedback! There are a few items in the FAQ that may provide a solution to this issue, this one may get you going.

? ? – What is Compatibility mode & ‘Unknown collation’ errors?
    ? ? – https://snapcreek.com/duplicator/docs/faqs-tech/#faq-installer-110-q

For most people option 2 is what gets them going…

Let me know if any of them help~

    Hi Cory,

Thanks for your input. At the moment, the website is running. (Website files are installed at the hosting package and the database comes from another provider with 5.6)

Sorry, I can′t comprehend your suggested solution because I can′t find the legacy check. I have a german version and searched all the options and preferences.

On step 2 (Scan) I have Server setups, archive options and a database overview. Is this a pro feature?

    Thanks Sven

    Hey @schmecktes,

The option is in step 2 of the installer.php file, I think you’re looking inside the build step…

    Hope that helps~

Ah ok! That was the mistake. I′ll try it. Thanks

    Hi @corylamleorg,

tried it. Can′t find a legacy check on step 2 and not on step 1-4 at the installer routine…?

    Thanks for your help,

    Sven
