• I have a website nadia-me.com developed using coldfusion 10 and mysql database. The database of site is around 300 GB.
The site database is connected to our internal database using putty which is getting sync all the time.
The database size is around 400 GB. Is it possible to migrate site to WordPress platform?
If so then after migrating to wordpress will it still support and sync database with our internal database?
Our internal application which consumes data from website platform is also developed using coldfusion and mysql database.
And the sync is possible because of communication of databases using putty. Please advise [ Contact details deleted ]

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    What are you storing there?

There’s no way to do a direct migration from CF to WordPress, you will require a lot of effort, including getting someone that knows both CF and WordPress. It is not an easy task.

We are recruitment based company and our candidates register, update and apply for jobs posted on our website. The data is saved in website database and it is internally sync with our internal database using putty.
Can you suggest a good platform If CF to WordPress is complex process to migrate ouu application.

Either platform you choose, it will be a time consuming process. I strongly suggest you to find someone knowledgeable with CF and WordPress

    Hi @nadia0207,

If this is my project (I have CF and WP experience), and it is a ‘static’ type of site (content only, no data access), I’d first build a WP site with the theme and ‘look’ which is needed. I’d grab some content (via text copy/paste) from the CF site, and create new pages on the WP site.

If there is much data-driven content, with the data being ‘live’ (changes over time), then perhaps a WP site is not the best choice. In that case, I’d build a PHP-based site, with access to the data as needed.

So, you’d need someone that knows CF and WordPress, and maybe additional PHP and data access skills. And a big budget, as it might require much effort to do.

Let me know if my answer can help you resolve your issue.

Yes this project, looks really cool!
    Perfect I guess!
