    Hi,
We moved our blog to a new server. Uploaded the database via mySLQadmin. The site looks good and works except that posts are displaying in reverse. March 14, 2006 is the lead blog listing now. How can I get the posts order back to most recent first?

    Thanks!

    Did you changed theme ?
If so, check to see if it’s not using custom query to reverse the order ..

    Your new server is broken.

So I read the posts on the link above.

This site is being hosted at Ipower. According to the control panel’s server info this is what we are running:

    MySQL Version 5.0.45
    Perl 5.8.8
    PHP 5.2.2

So is MySQL Version 5.0.45 known to have a bug? What Do I need to ask them to do exactly then?

    Thanks!

45 should not have the bug, but how do you know for sure that that is what they are actually running?

Just because it says so on some control panel screen means very little.

Ipower confirms that we’re running MySQL Version 5.0.45

They claim that “it is the version of the wordpress and not the version of the mysql is causing the problem. Could this be? I am running WordPress 2.0.2 afterall.

And why didn’t you read the suggested fix #1 in Otto’s article?

    Fixes:
For people running older versions of WordPress, upgrade to the latest version.

would love to upgrade to the latest version and keep the previous data. It’s just a matter of available time. Any moderators looking to earn a few bucks?

You don’t need to be a moderator to be able to run an upgrade.
