Migration process is currently running…

  • Hi, I’ve been installing and uninstalling dropshipping plugins to find the best for my needs, and ended up with ALD not wanting to import anything anymore. For the last 2 days, when I visit Aliexpress, the message is “The migration process is currently running in the background. Please do not import at this time”. So I cannot import anything, and the domain also has the X status.

    I’ve tried deleting all products, adding and removing the site from the extension. The ALD settings page also shows the “Deleting old data in background” message, if it matters. I do not know what to do next.

    Any advise?

    It sounds like a message you received when migrating to the new table.

    The process of importing products to the new table runs in the background. When there’s still remaining products in the old data table, you wouldn’t be able to import new ones. When it’s done, you can use it like normal and import products.

    Perhaps the process is not finished, it shouldn’t take too long though. If it takes you a few days, please open a support ticket on this Forum: https://villatheme.com/supports/forum/plugins/aliexpress-dropshipping-and-fulfillment-for-woocommerce/chrome-extension/

    Isn’t it faster for me to delete those tables and everything that ALD stored in the WP database, then reinstall the plugin and start from fresh?

    if so, what are the ALD tables?

    But it seems like your site cron job failed. Commonly it’s because the site was closed midway of the migrating process. However, it’s not ideal to delete ALD tables, either, it can even break your site.
