Running WP 6.2.2 and The Events Cal 6.1.2.2.

Migration has been running for 30 minutes. ?I didn’t have any events. But all I have now is a pop up window that says “Migration in Progress.”

FYI – I had previously uninstalled The Event Cal. When I installed newest version, everything from previous install was still in place.

  • Hi @wardencenter,

Thank you for reaching out to us with this issue.

To address the “Migration in Progress” pop-up window and the persistence of data from a previous installation, please try the following steps:

    1. Clear your browser cache and cookies: This will ensure that any cached data related to the previous installation is cleared.
    2. Check the status of the migration process: The migration process should not take an extended period. If it has been running for 30 minutes and there is no progress, it might be stuck. In this case, try refreshing the page or restarting the migration process.
    3. Uninstall the plugin completely: To ensure a clean installation, deactivate and uninstall the Events Calendar plugin. Then, go to the WordPress plugins page and check if any remnants of the plugin are still present. If so, delete them.
    4. Install the latest version of the Events Calendar plugin: Download the latest version of the Events Calendar plugin from the WordPress plugin repository or the plugin’s official website. Install and activate the plugin.
    5. Check for conflicts: Deactivate any other plugins temporarily to rule out conflicts with the Events Calendar plugin. You can reactivate them later once the migration is complete.
    6. Retry the migration process: After completing the steps above, attempt to migrate again by following the provided instructions. Monitor the process closely to ensure it progresses without any issues.

Thanks, Cheska – after two more uninstalls and removing the leftover table with WP Optimize, the migration worked.

    Cheers!
