    Hi,

We added MIME for .stp and .step, it works fine, but when uploading .STP and .STEP file, it shows “Allowed image types does not match”
I’m using it with Fluent form.
    application/step,application/octet-stream,model/step,text/plain
But for .stl and .pdf files, it works both in lowercase and uppercase.
Maybe the difference is .stl is an AVAILABLE Extension, not a custom file type.

    Hey @homu9,

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble.

This usually happens if an incorrect MIME type is configured for the file.

For .STP and .STEP files, please make sure your setup allows both uppercase and lowercase versions of the extensions. The MIME types you’re using—application/step, application/octet-stream, model/step, and text/plain—seem correct, but sometimes systems treat custom file types differently than standard ones like .stl and .pdf, which might already be pre-configured to work.

To troubleshoot further, I’d suggest checking Fluent Forms to see if it supports case-insensitive matching for file extensions. You can also use a MIME Type Checker tool to verify the correct MIME type for your files and ensure everything aligns.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any more assistance.

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
