Minamaze slider – can't reorder slides & default minamaze slide keeps showing

    I am using the newest Minamaze as a child theme and when I add new slides to the Homepage ThinkUpSlider customizer the default Minamaze deck disappears and I see my slides..that’s well and good. I not changed core theme functions.

    Issue 1: I decided that the first slide I set up with the slider wasn’t the one I wanted showing first. However, when I tried reordering the slides using the drag and drop it wouldn’t ever save those settings.

    Issue 2, in order for me to even be offered the ability to save those drag and drop changes I first needed to tweak some other theme homepage customizer (e.g. max slide height) in order for the save option to turn clickable. I wasn’t otherwise able to save slider reordering changes. Even when I was able to eventually get he save button to become clickable the reordering was never saved.

    Issue 3, arose when I decided that I would try to delete my slide that I didn’t want showing first in the deck (since the reordering functions where working). This created a worse issue…somehow deleting that first slide of mine then made the default minamaze slide deck display and completely override the remaining 3 slides that I still had in the deck.

    Due to issue 3 I am currently forced to disable the ThinkUpSlider completely since I don’t want the Minamaze default deck showing on my live site.

    For simplicity I’d love if the theme’s slider worked since I thought it looked great. Otherwise I suppose I can use a custom slider. Help or an update would be appreciated.

    One more note…after uninstalling then reinstalling the parent theme and seeing my prior pictures showing up again it seems that he slider settings are stored in SQL but not clearing properly.

    now I am trying to do something similar https://www.dattautomotive.co.uk
    and cannot get the sliders to save or work and the featured area wont save.
    Any ideas?

    Gsacomputers. I was able to add/save the first batch of slides but not change them or reorder them thereafter. It is somehow not registering updates to which image file it should href. Perhaps in the SQL commands perhaps not?

    Hello!

    Just confirming that I too have some issues with the slider, which I did not have before, I cannot reorder the slides. Haven’t tried to remove or add any slides though, so I cannot comment on that yet.

    It does indeed seem as if I try to remove one slider, the slider reverts back to the default minamaze slide deck.

    For now, I cancelled everything in order to keep my slides, but not really sure how to proceed from here.

    Slider problem here too!

    I removed all the demo slides (using FTP).
    No my screen is empty instead of the black slides.

    Try to upload my new slides (in the same directory where I removed the demo content) but still not visible…

    I am still having this problem. No word from ThinkUpThemes yet to my chagrin.
    Just to add color…I am using it as a Child theme following WP codex etc. Free version.

    Having the same issue as well. Tried reordering slides, and adding a slide. I can add a slide, but cannot reorder them.

    I had a similar problem: My slider weren’t shown anymore although I could still see them in the theme options. Instead the slider loaded the demo pictures. Then I added a new but empty slide. Now the slider loads my slides again. But I can not reorder them.
    Has anybody found a solution yet?

    I have the SAME ISSUE !!! WHAT is the solution ?????

    Found a work around – use a CUSTOM SLIDER and this one works perfect !!!

    Hi guys,

    If you’re experiencing issues with the ThinkUpSlider then it’s most likely that the array used to control the slider is being corrupted. Please can you reset the ThinkUpSlider by deleting all slides and then save the customizer. Reload the page and then begin using the ThinkUpSlider again.

    Since moving to customizer the ThinkUpSlider relies on jQuery (which is what customizer is built on), as such it’s sensitive to a number of external factors. So things like arrays can sometimes not save correctly and lead to issues such as this.

    Additionally, drag and drop slides is not available anymore, this is only possible in the theme options panel in Pro version. So if you do have the version of Minamaze where you can drag and drop slides, please update to the latest theme version. The drag and drop feature does not play well with customizer.
