• I’m sure this is something that could be done with a simple code but I’m just not good at coding.

What I’m wanting to accomplish is on signup, a user is present with the typical options of username, password, etc. but also has an extra option for “Minecraft Username”. If they put a username in that field, upon registration it will automatically pull their minecraft avatar from https://cravatar.eu/.

They can choose not to fill out the minecraft username field which would result in just a default avatar but again, if they put in their username it would pull their avatar.

Here is an example for xenforo that works perfectly on my test site, but I’m wanting to stick to wordpress and not use xenforo. https://xenforo.com/community/threads/avatar-based-on-custom-user-field-problems.86381/

Seriously NOBODY knows how to do this? ??
I’m sure it can be done since there are plugins that pull facebook images based on a facebook id number, I just can’t figure it out.

It not easy as you think. Because the URL of the avatar is based of your minecraft account name and you’ll need a field in the wp user settings to write the name and save.

Is not hard to make one, but is not easy. It requires a lot of time and effect. I believe it can be done, but not anytime now…

Facebook plugin in another hand serves different purpose.

Have a look at the minecraft plugins that are currently available. There might be something useful – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tags/minecraft

As @kachan64 mentioned, it’s not as easy at it sounds and will required either using or making a plugin which requires a lot of time and nothing programming.
