Mini Calendar – Archive Browser Add-on

Hi. I’ve copied and rewrote portions of the mini calendar widget, so you can use it in the sidebar as an archive browser. By default the mini calendar is actually just a ajax calendar, but I modified some stuff, to disable this and make the links to Prev/Next actually reload the url and then your Archive page will show events from that month only. A much easier method that listing ALL your months.
It’s a bit tricky to use, because there isn’t actually an “events” page (it’s a virtual permalink), so I had to modify the archive template to include a manually created sidebar. and then display it using PHP code. Then you can pop the archive browser widget into the sidebar and voila, it navigates your events archive list.
Hopefully a variation of the widget will allow this in the future.
