Minimal gutter in responsive masonry gallery?

Template is “Masonry Image Gallery” w/ 4 columns. There are three gutter settings: None / Normal / Larger.
Why isn’t there a “smaller” or minimal option. I only want 2-3px in my gutter regardless of screen size. Any way to do this via CSS?
