Minimalistic Design with only picture slideshow main page

Hi all,

I am designing a minimalistic main page with only a slide-show with pictures uploaded from the user.

then there would be some links from which user can browse through.

Now, I have two problems,
first to select a good plugin, that will allow user to enter the pictures and crop them according to his need.

Second problem, would be to show them on the main page.

I would be very thankful to you for any help …

I did see NextGEN Gallery … but I don’t know how to show pictures on the page …

please help … It is very urgent …
