(Minimatica theme) How to have slider photos static?

Hey, to get the photos to appear on the home page you have to do it as a featured image on a post. However, I think it looks ‘messy’ and ‘blog like’ that when you click on the photos, it goes on to another page.
Ideally I want JUST the image to show on the front page, with no hover title or secondary page. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?
