• Hi,

I am trying to tidy up this site and improve speed using GTMetrix.

How do I fix the minimize redirects? I don’t recognize the links other than a Trip Advisor one. I have a Trip Advisor widget on the site so is that where this redirect link would come from?

    Thanks

  • Al of those look like they would be from the Trip Advisor widget. The best way to check is to remove that widget, and measure again. if they are gone, it’s defiantely that widget.

As for what to do about it, there’s three options.

    1. First, live with it. Remember that just because your metrix score isn’t at 100 it’s not as much of a reflection on your site as other factors are.
    2. Remove the widet. That’s probably not viable as I’m sure that it’s there for some form of income.
    3. Talk to Trip Advisor and get their side of the system to work the correct way. To be honest, the chances of this happening are almost zero, but you never know.

    Great, thank you.

To be honest, I’m not worried about it but the client gets those free audits emailed to him from SEO companies and then is concerned that there is issues with the website. It’s frustrating!

I will explain to him what you said about the metrix score. It’s not the be all and end all – right?
