Minimizing HTML constantly breaks tag clouds

The HTML minimizers removes whitespace around li elements, as I reported to the upstream:

However, I noticed that tag clouds in many default WordPress themes actually add an inline style to li elements (examples that I know include Twenty Twelve and Twenty Seventeen), and removing whitespace around them would break their rendering (e.g., here. Can you include a fixed version of the upstream by simply removing “li” in the line that I pointed out at https://github.com/mrclay/minify/issues/643 ?
