• Choosing a minimum amount of zero when editing the product, the front-end still requires a minimum amount of 0.30. This does not make sense, asking 0.30 for a transaction of 0.00! We want to give people the option to choose their amount, and if they choose 0.00, they should be able to receive the product without needing to pay anything. For a 0.00 donation, there is no need for any transaction of the payment provider, so why charge a fee?

    Hi,

Unfortunately we have no control in regards to the fees charged by Stripe as per the following Stripe documentation.

    https://stripe.com/docs/currencies#minimum-and-maximum-charge-amounts

    Kind regards.

Thanks for you reply. I understand that you have no control in regards to the fees, but you can intercept zero payments and not let it go through Stripe and just register the product as paid. This way, people can choose to give nothing, instead of paying 0.30 and the seller receiving nothing…

Hi, We will have to add a feature for this in the future. The primary purpose of this plugin is to sell an item or accept a reasonable amount for something. It’s not really designed for $0 transaction. I have added this to our wish list.

Great, thank you and much appreciated.

I came across this thread searching for a way to do a free trial.

For me, I’d like a product for free trials that would completely circumvent Stripe. I’d like to give a free trial (through the Simple Membership plugin) that expires in two weeks and if the customer wants to then purchase they go through a Stripe payment button.

    Thanks.
