I am wholesaling and I would like buyers to only be able to checkout if there are 50 items or more in their cart. It does not matter to me if they have 1 item in Blue and 49 in Pink one as long as when they click checkout there’s 50+.

When I set 50 for the minimum global cart quantity and add 1 of something to my cart two messages pop up saying

1)”The required minimum sum for all product quantities is set to 50 in this shop. Your overall quantity sum: 0. You have to add products to your cart or buy existing products in a higher quantity.”
2)”Item was successfully added to cart”

When I check the cart there is 1 in there.

If I continue shopping leaving the 1 item in the cart and add 49 more of something else two messages pop up saying

1)”The required minimum sum for all product quantities is set to 50 in this shop. Your overall quantity sum: 49. You have to add products to your cart or buy existing products in a higher quantity.”
2)”Item was successfully added to cart”

When I check the cart I see the original 1 and 49 of the other and it lets me go to checkout.

How come when I add new items the initial message is not counting the items already in the cart?

    Hi everbluellc.

I tested this now, sorry for the delay. I cannot find any errors with the functionality. Please check your configuration for these two settings:

    Minimum cart items and
    Minimum global cart quantity

under Cart Settings. The second setting won’t be necessary in most cases.

An update on this. If you update your cart changing quantities for different items you will see that the message updates correctly. Nevertheless it should disappear when everything’s correct. I believe that’s the problem. I will clean up the message cue to avoid outdated messages from displaying.

Thank you for your responses. Still no luck though.

I’ve tried every combination of settings. I know that setting the global cart to 50 does exactly what I need. It allows customers to order any combination of products and as long the cart equals 50 they can checkout. The functionality works perfect, no issues there.

The problem that I am having is with the initial message that pops up at the top of the single-product page once I add products to cart. The “Overall sum Quantity” number is always incorrect. But when I go into the actual cart page it is correct.

I rather have the initial message disabled all together. How can I disable the minimum cart message that pops up on the single product page and only have it pop up in the cart page?

    Thanks

I am finding that when I add items from the single product page. The message that pops up only includes the sum of products that are in the cart already and does not consider the # of products i am adding at that moment.

    For example:

If I already have 5 items in my cart and I add 1 more.

A message will pop up saying that the sum of the items in cart is 5 instead of saying 6.

But once I get to the cart page it will say the sum of products is 6.

    How do I fix this?
