    Hey Carlos,

I love this plugin! I have one issue though, which I didn’t find a solution to.

When people select a day (e.g. today, tomorrow, etc.) in the calendar and don’t select a time, the time in the input field is shown as the time that is now(eg. 2:12pm).
This isn’t too good, because the restaurant team needs some time to prepare and to accept the “reservation”.

Is it possible that the user can only send the form when date and time are manually picked with your “date and time picker” or that the time is rounded up? (eg. ‘now’+’roundup’ to half hour + half hour = 2:12pm-> 2:30pm -> 3:00pm)

Because otherwise it would make the 30min step option useless.

    Sincerely Marcel

  • Hi @marcellein thank you for reporting this.
When you select the option to not keep the placeholder, the plugin calculates the next proper time and sets it by default. When the placeholder is enabled, the input doesn’t start with a value and therefore defaults to the current time.
I’ll investigate and try to improve this for the next version. In the meantime, the solution would be to disable the placeholder. Greetings, Carlos

Ah, the only option, which I didn’t disable during testing. Okay! I’ll try to disable the placeholder for now. Thank you for your kind message. Keep up the nice work.

    Greetings Marcel ??

I just came across exactly the same problem. Would be good to be able to keep the placeholder but still don’t fallback to the current time, which completely ignores min/max time settings as well as time step.

Alternatively, one could help/force users to actually choose the time and do not update the field if user does not do that.

    Sincerely,
    Denis.

    Hi @davydov-denis
You can try the github version which is ahead of the current one here, where I’ve already made improvements to this behaviour: https://github.com/carmoreira/date-time-picker-field

Check if it works better for you.
    Cheers, Carlos
