• Hi guys

First of all, thank you for this veeery good plugin. It’s just what I need.

I installed the plugin and have been trying it for the last 2 hours. I like it and I’m gonna use it on my site but I have few minor issues that I hope it gets fixed or have answers for it:

1- I cannot change the site favicon or the logo or any image in the theme options, no action happens after selecting an image!
2- Icons don’t show up on the site, letters appear instead. Like: XCancel Friendship, #Public Message, APrivate Message, hFavorite, aMy Friends..also on posts: d admin | L Uncategorized | R November 19, 2012 ..etc. I don’t know if you didn’t use icons or something wrong.
3- Adding “BuddyPress Activity Plus” plugin ruins a little the look of the Activity stream text area, I’m gonna check how to fix this but I was wondering if this plugin could be added to the CBox integrated plugins since it’s needed (with enhancements to the appearance of it).

I have few remarks if you don’t mind:
1- The post’s tags take too much space. I think it would be better if the tag appears just as a link without the button look.
2- On the posts’ page, I think it would be better to make the author’s name as a link that takes to his profile.
3- Changing the appearance of the profile tab’s options and makeing it horizontal & on the right side of the page. For example: the Activity options (Personal, Mentions, Favourites, Friends and groups), it would be better to show it horizontally on the right side of the page not vertically on the side bar, just like the buddypress default theme. (It would be better looking and reduce the space taken on the left sidebar)

Good work guys, waiting for your updates

Also the color picker icon in the theme options doesn’t appear but when you click on its location, it opens.

    Hi Hope,

I have also encountered the icons issue you are experiencing.

Do you know what type of server you are running CBOX on?

    IIS (Windows)? Apache? nginx?

As for BuddyPress Activity Plus, we will need some time to vet the plugin, but chances are it will not make our CBOX plugins.

For all the other appearance comments, I will forward them to our designers. About the third point, we made a conscious decision to make the profile tabs a vertical navigation menu.

If you want a horizontal nav, you’ll need to create a child theme of cbox-theme and change the CSS and profile template to use a horizontal nav.

    Thanks for testing so far!

    Hi r-a-y,

Actually I’m running CBOX on Apache server.

Okay, thanks a lot for your help!

About your Apache server, are you running some type of WAMP package like XAMPP or Bitnami? (I am; just want to make sure someone else is in the same situation as me.)

Just trying to get to the bottom of this issue!

    Thanks for replying, Hope!

We can pretty much verify that this is a Windows issue.
I’ll reply back to this thread once we’ve found a solution to the problem.

That would be great! Thank you!

    Hi Hope,

A new fix was added by our theme developers. We will be releasing a new beta late this week to address the issue.

If you can’t wait until then, you can copy the contents of:
    https://raw.github.com/PressCrew/infinity/83cfb81c135a3bd6197a80fc540b624cc3ac4bb2/engine/ICE/utils/files.php

    to:

    /wp-content/themes/cbox-theme/engine/ICE/utils/files.php

And that should hopefully fix the problem.

If you decide to try the manual fix, let me know what happens!

    Hi r-a-y,

Thanks for your help. I copied the content of the file to the files.php file but nothing changed :S

Can you try purging your browser cache and then refresh the page on the frontend?

    (@amalsh)

I just cleared the browsers’ caches and tried again on all browsers (FireFox, Chrome & IE) but unfortunately the problems are still there.

BTW, I’m trying on a local test wordpress + a live test wordpress. It’s not working on them both ??

Can you open up the following file?
    /wp-content/uploads/exports/cbox-theme/dynamic.css

And paste the contents of that to Pastebin.com?

Once you’ve done that, copy and paste the link here.

    Okay, here’s the link: https://pastebin.com/HDXFCXxg

    Hi Hope,

Thanks for posting the Pastebin link.

Is your WordPress site installed in a subdirectory:
    eg. domain.com/VU-Community

I have a feeling I know what the issue is.

    Just want some verification.

    Hi Ray,

Actually it’s directly in the root directory (www folder).
