• Hi all,

I have the following issue: I create links in my pages that are correctly directed, but as soon as I save/update the page, they change (& therefore break). This happens whether I’m using the visual editor or the text editor.

    Before save:

    After save:

This link changing problem doesn’t occur in posts or anywhere else I have noticed on the site. I use a custom made theme. It’s also important to note that when I add a new page, I add it through something called ‘pro manager’ rather than ‘Add Page’ as per the normal wordpress way. Similarly when I want to edit the text on a page, I do so using an option in pro manager. It looks like this:

Once upon a time the links were fine, and there are still a few in different pages that work. However, if I attempt to edit those exiting links or add any new links, the issue occurs. I am unable to contact the developer to fix this and I have had no luck finding what might be causing the issue. Does anyone have any ideas on where to look?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Which plugin provides you with this interface for editing? Without knowing which one it is, I can’t really help you.

    Hi @threadi

I don’t know where the interface comes from. Is there someway I can work that out? These are the plugins active if it helps: Advanced Custom Fields, Application Passwords, Automatic Domain Changer, Redirection, Simple Share Buttons Adder, WP Mail Logging, WP Mail SMTP.

    Thanks

Unfortunately, I also don’t know where your screenshot comes from. The form you see there is not a WordPress standard.

Based on your statement that you are using Advanced Custom Fields, I assume that this is a form that is managed via it. However, I am not aware that there should be such a malfunction there.

I would therefore recommend the following:
First create a backup of your project.
Then deactivate all plugins except Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and try to customize a text with a link again. If the problem persists, I would recommend that you contact the ACF support forum: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/advanced-custom-fields/
If the problem no longer exists, it was caused by one of the deactivated plugins. You could then try to activate them individually until the problem reoccurs – then you will have found the culprit.

Thanks @threadi I will give those suggestions a go.
