• I had high hopes for the SureTriggers plugin for WordPress, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. After spending an hour and a half setting it up for a test on our site, I was initially pleased with how it seemed to meet our automation needs. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when I tried to publish the automation.

To my surprise, I encountered an error message stating that I had used a feature that required a paid plan, without any clear indication of which feature that was. I was taken aback, as I had carefully stayed within the limits of the free plan. Assuming I might have accidentally used a premium feature, I started removing plugins one by one, thinking that might resolve the issue. But even after disabling all potentially premium-triggering features, the error message persisted.

Despite reducing my setup to just two basic WordPress functions, the issue remained, wasting a significant amount of my time. I can’t help but feel misled by the way this company operates. It seems like they intentionally use unclear messaging to push users toward upgrading to a paid plan, which is a huge disappointment.

While the parts of the plugin I could use did work reasonably well, it’s overshadowed by the frustration and misleading practices. I believe businesses should be transparent with their customers, and this experience has left me questioning the integrity of SureTriggers.

If you value your time and don’t want to deal with unexpected paywalls, I would suggest looking elsewhere. There are plenty of other plugins available from developers who are more upfront and honest about what they offer.
