Misleading description – Find and replace URLs

  • I wanted to try this but despite the description here in this plugin page saying “Find and replace URLs” it appears you can only do that in the pro version.

    I downloaded and installed this and found that out too late. Please correct this description. Thank you.

    Thank you for your valuable comment. However, kindly review the documentation on how to execute replacements. It appears that you may have overlooked the pro features. For simplicity, please ensure that you uncheck the ‘dry-run’ option to enable replacement in the free version. Most of the uncommon features are available in the free version.

    Thank you. I can’t do dry run? Sorry I don’t trust the plugin with a large site wide operation if I can’t see what it will do.

    I could test on a local WP install I suppose.

    Suggestion: If you simply put “URL replacement (for dry run, upgrade to pro)” it would give a hint of the capability.

    Of course you can run ‘Dry run’ option on free version.

    The?dry run?feature is always?free; it has been?free?from the beginning. With it, you can see exactly what will be replaced, including database columns, row’s id etc. This feature is very useful for free version.
