• This plugin does not work as described in the title.
It is misleading, plain and simple.
    It should be renamed.

Honestly, this is not nice of you. The plugin always had this name from the beginning and for two years it was a media renamer that was doing it automatically based on the title. Nobody every complained.

Many years later and months of cumulated work to please my users, I have added many options. Basically, I am being slammed for that? If there was no manual rename option, you wouldn’t have said anything, I am sure.

Also, before installing a plugin, don’t you read its description? Plugins are not little piece of garbage, they have been developed by human being, sometimes for a very long time. It would be respectful to read the description. And what is the first word in that description? Please, tell me.

When you buy products at the supermarket, you just buy them depending on their titles? Or maybe because it is free, you don’t care?

And that said, if I also want to be “plain and simple”, then my plugin is indeed a Media File Renamer. Can you tell me how it doesn’t do that?

Can’t rename plugins on the repository. WordPress doesn’t allow it, I have already asked.

I have read the description, despite it being unintentional it is still misleading.
I have revised my review to 3 stars in an effort to alert users before they download.
Please do not take it personally, what functionality it has works well.

I disagree with this reviewer. The plugin’s name and description are accurate and not misleading.

I understood right away it had an auto-rename function (what I wanted it for), and manual file renaming was a paid feature after reading the information provided on the first screen you’re provided when viewing this plugin.

Perhaps I should have used the word “confusing”, but it’s all semantics.
Note that I am not the only one to object and will certainly not be the last.
