Missing Access and no Manage Role permission
-
Hi Ravi, thanks for developing this, I’m quite excited about it.
I’ve followed your guide but the log is showing Missing Access on a specific user, which happens to be my own admin account.
2022-11-02 22:26:19==>File:/home/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php::User Id:786::Line:307::Function:ets_memberpress_load_discord_roles::10004:Unknown Guild 2022-11-02 22:29:20==>File:/home/xxx/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php::User Id:786::Line:307::Function:ets_memberpress_load_discord_roles::50001:Missing Access
This account falls outside of MemberPress, of course, so when I see the Discord Connect button it is telling me it will connect me as the default role, which I’ve set as ‘crew’. (Crew does not exist in my MemberPress hierarchy as this is the role I want to assign to non-MemberPress members of Discord.) It sits at the top of the list of who can access.
Can I ignore this error in the logs for the time being?
More importantly, when I check the MemberPress bot permissions in Discord I notice the bot has MANAGE ROLES disabled. Shouldn’t this be enabled? Perhaps I missed a step in your video but how do I enable this? I have set the role of the member called MemberPress to manage roles but I don’t think this is correct.
