Missing "Add New" Plug-in

What is your user account role? Only Administrators or users with the manage_options capability can view the plugin options and download and manage plugins.

Try changing the theme as the code in the theme may have restricted access of it.

Thanks Vinod – tried that as well. Still no joy.

I wonder if it’s a file permissions issue? Did someone lock down the plugins folder so that installing plugins just isn’t possible?

Still have this problem and desperately want to add plug-ins as my site drops down the rankings.
