Missing Admin Menu Items

  • I’m brand new to WordPress and have inherited a multisite installation. I am on 4.2.4 and multisite is enabled. The problem I’m having is that all of the menu items are missing in the admin panel left nav – I just have Dashboard, Profile and Collapse menu.

    From what I’ve read, that would seem to indicate that I am not an admin, but I don’t think that’s the case; is_user_admin() is returning true. I’ve already disabled all plugins…anyone have any idea what else could be causing this? Any help is greatly appreciated…

  • Just to rule out the obvious, in your multisite install are you looking at the correct site that has the pages and posts? Posts and pages are not shared between sites on a network.
