missing album

    First off, Awesome plugin !

    quick question, has anyone ran into an instance where an album thats on itunes wont show up in the widget ?

    for example artist id = 81275822

    excluding the following albums 369313708,587490757,587491745,81275714,324825942,329801441,737854361,586246489,413847182,294597678,278967733

    for some reason album id 792242896 won’t show up

    is this an itunes problem ? any insight would be great

    iTunes has (sometimes) an issue treating ep’s as tracks rather than albums (or what they call “collections”)

    I have also com across issues where they screwed up id’s and the api just does not return what it should

    in your case: using 792242896 as the id in the widget your missing album shows up (but only that one), using artist id 81275822 (as you did) the itunes api just does not return that missing id.
    I have also come across scenarios where they put different artists that have the same name under the same id (that’s when I added the “exclude” option)

    not much I can do about that i’m afraid.

    The only suggestion I have (which might not be what you want though) is to have 2 ilw widgets on your page. one with id 81275822 the other with 792242896

    Yeah that is a odd way for itunes to handle an EP release but thats a perfect work around for what i’m using it for. Great work

    sometimes it feels like there’s some bloke sitting at apple doing things manually and then using the album id as artists id or thinking “hey , this guy has the same name, must be the same artist, so make them both have the same id” and stuff like that….

    I cannot explain why things like this could otherwise happen ..but what do i know. I don’t even use iTunes :), just needed this widget for a site I was working on some time ago
