• WordPress Version – 6.3.1 (Latest), Gutenberg Editor version – 16.5.1 (Latest)

I am not sure what’s wrong here but I have limited colour options by default when I select anything. Of couse there is HEX and custom colour picker, but we are not talking about some unusual colour combinations here. Simple colours like red, green, blue are missing. I am trying to show related posts under all my posts. Google led me to this page: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/related-posts-block/. It says that I am supposed have a built in related posts block in my Gutenberg editor, right? But it is somehow missing from my Gutenberg! Screenshot – https://ibb.co/RDYVTZd

I lost the link to this WordPress support page but it said that I am supposed to have ‘Related Posts’ option in my Classic Admin Panel under Settings>>Reading. Mine doesn’t have it. Screenshot – https://ibb.co/8KMBqgk

Having said all that, I feel I am probably missing more Gutenberg features without realizing it. How do I ensure that I am not missing out on any without having to dig into the documentation? Any option to reset it to the default state where all available features are auto-enabled?

Thanks in advance.

Hey @brokenengine – that definitely sounds a little unusual.

This is something that may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install and activate “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.
On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to test for various compatibility issues.

There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode at https://make.www.ads-software.com/support/handbook/appendix/troubleshooting-using-the-health-check/

The support article you linked to is from WordPress.com (a hosted solution for WordPress sites) which includes the Jetpack plugin (which contains the ‘Related Posts’ block). in their hosting. That’s why it would be different to what you see.

Good news though – you can also install the Jetpack plugin which includes that block.
