    When I look at the design versus the live view of the calendar I only see one selectable category in the live view, whereas the design has four. Furthermore, the non-selectable categories are not even displayed on the calendar!

    This is what it should look like (marking the parts missing in the live view):

    That’s a big and very important difference. Where did my categories go??

    I use version 3.5.4 of the plugin on a Minimal Muse 1.3.8. theme with custom CSS. And I’m pretty sure it’s not the custom CSS doing this.

    The design view uses settings options for display; the public view uses whatever options are configured for your page specifically. Do you have limits set in the shortcode or in the page settings for your calendar?

    I did not even know that there were, or that it was possible to set them. Reviewing the calendar page showed that, indeed, only the “Repetitie” (Rehearsal – this is for a project choir) option would be shown.

    Now, since I never touched that page after I had it working exactly to my liking, I am going to have to have a very stern talk with one of my editors.
