missing categories

  • Since upgrading to WP version 3.2.1, I no longer have the ability to add new Page Categories.

    I’ve tried some of the solutions offered in the past during other WP upgrades, such as disabling plugins) and switching to one of the default WP themes.

    The theme used, glass 1.0, is property of a japanese developer whose site lacks an english version.

    Advice anyone?
