• HELP! Here’s the rundown.

    1. Had Godaddy move my blog.website.com to just website.com (killing my old website and now just going with WordPress).

    2. Tech Support had me drag all files from the blog folder to the root directory of my website.com.

    3. Went to login to WordPress site today and received this error:

    Warning: require(/home/content/72/5600172/html/wp-includes/classes.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/72/5600172/html/wp-settings.php on line 267

    4. Called Godaddy tech support. they sent me an email saying I needed the last file in my directory, which wasn’t there:

    require (ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/compat.php’);
    require (ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/functions.php’);
    require (ABSPATH . WPINC . ‘/classes.php’);

    I dont’ know where to go from here…. feeling a bit left out to the sharks to do something stupid and wreck my wordpress site.

  • Sounds like GoDaddy completely messed the site move up. They/You should have followed the instructions in Moving_WordPress. I suggest you get GD to move everything back to the way it was so that you can carry out the move correctly.

    I will give them a call esmi. Thank you! There is an option within Godaddy I found to Move wordpress and gives me a drop down with my blog.website.com and website.com. Wonder if I could use that once everything is restored?

    I really have no idea whether that would work properly.
