I can’t seem to get the comment block to show up on any posts, despite comments being open in the site settings and the individual post settings, can comment count set to “on” in the theme customization settings. I’ve added a couple test comments and they show up in the left sidebar widget, but I can’t get the comments box to display for new commenters or the comment count to show up on the home page.

I currently have a child theme setup, but I transitioned back to the parent theme just to double check that any changes I made didn’t make this happen. Any thoughts as to why this is isn’t working?

    Full disclosure:
my site is a multi-site WP install with commenting activated in the overall network settings as well.

I forgot to add that I’ve also gone through and deactivated all plugins and checked them one by one with none of them appearing to be the culprit.

Hi there! Hm, when I test it works fine on for example the demo page.

Also, when I go here on your site, I can see your comment fine.

Edit: Although not the comment box on your site, and I can’t see it in the code either. Hmm, no idea what that could be caused by at the moment.

Do you have a font awesome plugin installed? I see spacing to icons etc are broken a bit too. The audiocase seem to produce errors in console also.

Are you running the latest version of plugins, theme and WordPress?

It’s like you have some plugin running that maybe modifies the comment area and the respond section. But you say you’ve tested all, so I’m not sure what could be going on there.

Also check these settings in your WP install.

@alxmedia Hi! Thanks for your response! I’m still not sure what caused this issue, but I went through a 2nd time and deactivated all plugins to try to isolate the issue and it started working again somewhere in the process, but I still couldn’t find 1 plugin that was the culprit.

Nevertheless, it appears to be functioning correctly and the comment box is now available. We can consider this issue solved.
