missing edit page button on homepage

elementor debugger shows this message “Template File: No Templates for condition > Astra – index.php”

using current versions of both wordpress and astra pro.

any idea how i can get the edit button to show on the top wordpress panel? it shows for regular pages and posts as normal, but not for the homepage.
