On various installations I am missing completely the editor to personalize how titles and other would be composed on pages, posts, etc

    This is “admin.php?page=wpseo_titles”

i get some JS errors in the console:

I am trying to find a conflict with another plugin but can’t figure it out (WPML?) any way I could debug what is going on?

@alsur Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v14.4.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.4.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/
    ?
?If you update to the most current version of WordPress and Yoast SEO, does this resolve the issue with the Yoast metabox?

If the issue is still occurring after confirming both Yoast SEO and WordPress are updated, this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.
If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

    Latest versions on both.
I can not disable yoast as the issue is with the yoast admin interface.
I did report JS console errors which are the only ones I see, I assumme you don’t recognize those as related to yoast?
    THANKS.

    Hi @alsur,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Looking at all the JS errors you mentioned in your opening post, it looks like the second error has something to do with an extension in your browser, the third is probably not related to Yoast SEO.

The first one, Uncaught TypeError: Class extends value undefined is not a constructor or null does let us believe this is a conflict with a plugin or theme that integrates with the Yoast SEO plugin. As my colleague Carl mentioned earlier, we would like to know if this specific issue persists when Yoast SEO is the only active plugin. You can test this out with the Health Check plugin troubleshooting mode. Without affecting any other users or site visitors, this disables all plugins and switches to a default theme, then enable Yoast SEO only and check if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, then switch back to your own theme and check again, if the issue still doesn’t appear, then you can enable 1 plugin at a time to check when the issue reappears.

    More information here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

    Thanks.

No conflict with local extensions (simply trying incognito window, same issue)
It seems a conflict with another plugin then as that “troubleshooting mode” and activating Yoast input boxes reappear.

After activating sequentially it seems to be a conflict with WP Log Viewer plugin… I’ll have to check what is the issue related to.

    Thanks.

Thanks for letting us know what caused the conflict. You can report plugin conflicts in our GitHub repository by creating a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. Please report the issue to the developers of the 3rd party plugin as well.

You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.
