Until recently we had 200+ email subscribers to our blog via Jetpack. The Jetpack connection broke, possibly because of the temporary creation of a cloned site, and now that we’ve reconnected Jetpack our subscriber list is no longer available. I’ve searched the forums and cannot find a way of retrieving this list ourselves. Are you able to help?

  • Hi there,

Yes, we can help retrieve your subscribers. A couple of things:

    1. Please try reconnecting Jetpack to https://blogs.bbk.ac.uk/mapping-museums/. The connection is currently broken
    2. Please update the version of Jetpack to 12.8.1.
    3. What is the URL of the temporary cloning site?

    Hi Emily,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I’ve disconnected and reconnected Jetpack.

On trying to update to version 12.8.1 I get the error ‘ERROR: this plugin requires a newer version of WordPress’

But we can’t update WordPress at the moment, as our hosting is provided by a university which has yet to upgrade the hosting provision to the necessary level (the PHP version is currently out of date).

The cloning site was taken offline a while ago. The URL was https://markliebenrood.com/mmlab/
