• I have an major issue on all three Blogs that I run- not every subscriber receives an email notification every time. And I never get bounced email notifications. To troubleshoot, I made a csv copy of all subscribers in one Blog, and then removed all subscribers except two: a bad address ([email protected]) and a good email address ([email protected]). I installed the Email Log plug in. I made a test post. Email Log showed that both emails were sent. The good email address received the email- the bad did not. I host the WordPress on GoDaddy.com. I checked my webmail account at godaddy.com- no bounced emails. Then I composed and sent an email within godaddy to the bad email (xxx…)- it immediately showed up as bounced.

I am trying to figure out why people with known good email addresses are occasionally (that is, not every time) not getting email notifications. Any ideas on troubleshooting will really help. Email Log shows email as being sent- but no boucebacks. I can send an bad email within godaddy- and it bounces- but the same email sent with Subscibe2 does not bounce. Thanks

I believe that I have found the solution to the bounced email issue. When I

      unchecked

the “Set the return-path to match the From Email” in the WP-Mail-SMTP Plug-In the bad email address is bounced to GoDaddy. Perfect.

Now, I have a way to troubleshoot the main issue: some subscribers not receiving email notifications on some posts- and they do receive on other posts. The next time I will see what bounces back- stay tuned.
