Missing Facebook Server Events

  • Hello, I set the Plugin to track Facebook Server events a few months ago. It had always worked perfectly until May 13th, the date on which (without anything being touched) I was able to observe a sharp drop in Server events. This led to a drastic decrease in event tracking on the Facebook Business Manager which is compromising the performance of the campaigns.
    I would like, if possible, to have support to understand what is not working and how to fix it.

    Hard to tell what’s going on, but I suggest you enable Meta API logs and check if there are errors reported there:

    1. Go to the Logs page, plugin’s right-side menu.
    2. Enable Meta API Logs, save.
    3. Keep it like this for a limited amount of time. Browse the site to be sure events are fired.
    4. Go back to the logs page, and disable logging to avoid having a huge logs file.
    5. Check the logs for errors. In essence, you will see a lot of data about events and parameters. This is the expected result. If there are problems with the events, the logs will be empty, or will have some details about the issues.

    If there are issues, let me know.

    If the events look fine, it’s best to contact Meta about the problem. It means something’s OFF on their end.

    The logs suggest that CAPI events are received by Meta. There is no obvious error, and I think they still work as expected.

    We are having the same issue since the 13th of May. We are now having to use an older version of the plugin.

    We have a few changes around API events. I don’t know what was the exact cause of your problem, but it’s a good idea to check it.

    There is no known common problem that can result in API events malfunction. Some of the users here had no real issues with API events, some never reply back.

    Did you enable logs as suggested here in a previous message? Do you see events recorded there? If not, do you see any errors reported in the logs? If there are errors, send us a message with details on the site: https://www.pixelyoursite.com/contact
