    Hello

    Thank you in advance,
I have an FAQ page using Yoast FAQ block and schema page type set to ‘FAQ Page’.

Today I have a console error saying the FAQ schema is invalid – Missing field “mainEntity”

I’m not aware of anything else that could be conflicting. Any suggestions to clear the error would be appreciated. Thank you

We understand that you’re using Yoast FAQ block and schema type has been set to ‘FAQ Page’, and in that condition, we don’t expect schema errors to appear.

Could you please try to validate the post via the Rich Results Testing tool? and confirm if errors still exist? Could you please show us some example URLs where the issue occurs so that we can take a look at them?

    Hi

Thanks for reply, the testing tool returns:

    Unnamed item
    1 error
    Missing field “mainEntity”

Can you provide an email address I can forward you the site link to?

    Thank you

    Hi @gerbull001

Would it be possible for you to try and set it back to the default ‘WebPage’ in the Schema tab of the Yoast SEO meta box when editing this page and still just add the Yoast FAQ block and test this again in Google’s Rich Results Tool and see if this fixes the issue? It should automatically add the ‘FAQPage’ to the default output – https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/plugins/yoast-seo/#when-a-page-contains-an-faq-block

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an email address for further support or correspondence. Could you share an example URL here so we can try and understand this further?

Otherwise, you can upgrade to the Yoast SEO Premium plugin where it also comes with 1 year of updates and premium personal support via email.
