Hello, I’m using Duplicator 1.36 (free version) to migrate a WordPress 5.1 site from localhost to a live server. I’m using PHP 7.2.12 while the live server runs on PHP 5.6.40. With FileZilla I’m uploading the installer.php and the .zip to the remote site. I’m using PHP ZipArchive for the extraction as the Shell Exec Unzip fails.
The extraction and the connection with the DB goes with no problems till the end. Then after the final step when I have to go to the wp-admin.php page to complete the installation I get the “Not Found The requested URL /wp-admin.php was not found on this server.” message.
After checking with FileZilla I can see that there are files like wp-admin.php, wp-config.php, wp-cron.php, and httaccess that are missing from the directory of the remote site. I can neither upload individually upload those files using FileZilla.
Please note that I have limited access to the server, I’m using a VPN to upload the site as this is a university’s server and access is not granted to third parties.
Any ideas of what might go wrong?
    Thank you.

  • Hey @akimo

It sounds like you are not getting a package built properly. You might check the archive.zip file to see if all the data matches what you want to back up. The package log can also have some clues.

If you want to submit a support ticket for this issue we can have a closer look at your setup. Please provide a link to this thread when submitting the ticket.

    Thanks~

I have checked my archive.zip package and all files (wp-config.php, wp-admin.php, etc) are there. Still those files are missing from the remote site directory.

We can have a look at your archive.zip if you want… Just check in with us at the link above and mention this thread.

    Thxs~

The issue was due to restrictions set from the server’s administrators. Thank you for your help.

No Problem. Thanks for the update.
