Missing GDPR list option in Woocommerce checkout

    Hello,

    I would like to integrate a newsletter subscription to my Woocommerce checkout that adds my customers to a GDPR list.
    I use the regular Woocommerce integration of Mailchimp for WordPress. It works with the subscription to the list in general, but the contact is not part of the GDPR list I have set for in Mailchimp.
    It says the contact is subscribed to the list, but opted-out of the GDPR list because he couldn’t pick it on the checkout.

    Is there a way to also let the customer pick the GDPR list options on the checkout page?

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    Please note that we still do not support the GDPR field from MailChimp in our plugin. However, you can use interest groups to save user consent.

    Lastly, do you let the user choose if they want to subscribe to your list by using our “WooCommerce Checkout” integration?

    Are GDPR tools available in the API?
    Yes. We’ve added marketing_permissions as a field with a boolean value, so you can enable GDPR fields and sync contact marketing permissions using the API.

    Hello,

    We do have plans to support the GDPR field provided by MailChimp.com, however, I cannot provide any time estimate as of now.

    Please note that if a user opt-ins using the “WooCommerce Checkout” integration, they are providing consent. If you want to save the consent as well, you can use hidden interest group fields where the user can be added. If you want to know about it, do let me know.
