Missing HTML Tag

    Hi, we’re checking our emails with Spam Assassin and one of the complaints that we’re losing score on is the following:
    -0.635 HTML_MIME_NO_HTML_TAG HTML-only message, but there is no HTML tag
    Your message should contain an <html> tag

    This is happening for emails with “HTML Formatting” ticked. While we can apply the solution manually per each email, we think it is best if BNFW applies this setting globally since wrapping the beginning and end of an email with “<html>” and “</html>” respectively is quite a simple solution. It is also worth noting that when we add this manually to the “Text” editor in an email and switch back to the “Visual” editor tab, the added HTML tags are removed and replaced with only ” “.

    Thanks for your message and bringing this to my attention.

    I’m going to include some better support for HTML emails in the next version of the plugin. This should take care of the issue you’re seeing.

    Just checking in if there’s any ETA on this?

    On a side note, would your new update also bring support for programmatic email triggers (and the email content is filled out via the plugin same as WordPress emails). That would be huge for us!

    This will be included in the next update. Just trying to work through some bugs first.

    No immediate plans for programatic email triggers but it’s on my list of things to investigate for in the future.
