• I have a webpage that has a vertical menu on the left sidebar (https://thewilkersongrp.com/about/). Basically on the menu, if a menu item has “sub menu items”; they appear to the right on hover. The only one that has such subitems is “Services”. It is supposed to have an image on the right side of the
which is basically a small “+” sign to signify there are more items to see. Well the page is not finding the image properly so it is showing that “image error symbol” that wordpress shows when it cannot find an image. I can see what image it is trying to display (right.gif) and also its location using Firebug. I have confirmed that the picture is in that location with that filename.

So – I am thinking I need to look at the “theme file” which is attempting to place that picture on there. But I cannot figure out which them file it is. I was just wondering if there is an easy way to figure this out with some app or utility or something.

I tried just looking through the them files (Kinetic) but its like looking for a needle in a haystack…
    Thanks, G

  • The image is adding whatever page it is on to the path so it wont work on anything but the homepage. Where you set the image path at in the menu I would just use the full path so it wont do that. So use

Thanks Aaron: I realize that the path is probably wrong, the thing I need help with is determining what file I would change the path in; I tried looking in some of the theme files but could not find where the code is for that picture; so I am wondering if someone on here knows how to figure this out….

No one would be able to help since we cant see the theme either.

Did you try appearance -> menus and looking through the menu link options?

Hello Aaron: thanks for your input. There does not seem to be any “menu link options” on the “appearance==>menu” page. Do you have any input at all on how I might go about finding out what theme file does it without going through them one by one? In any case I really appreciate all of your help…

If you go to the template editor and just go template by template and doing a browser search for that picture name it should only take a few minutes to find what template file it is in.

I was trying to correct the error in which the header image did not extend over the entire top of the page.

I apparently inserted the recommended code in the wrong place. Now I cannot get a header image to appear.

I can’t figure out what I did wrong. Can you help.

Thanks Aaron – I will give that a try!

I seem to have completely screwed up my wordpress page.

I get error messages and cannot fix anything.

Any help would be extremely welcome.
