Missing: importer integrated in wordpress core

  • What good is an export tool in wordpress core to export xml, when there is no equivalent import tool?

    This importer plugin produces an error message and the developers do not seem to do anything about it (see masses of support requests).

    Is this working reliably or not? I don’t dare to use it. And without a way to move data from one wordpress install to another, I have to reconsider wordpress as a platform.
